.…Hall Arrives!

As visitors to Hartlepool Cricket Club will be aware, Jeff Pounder has left the role of Club Steward. Jeff retired in the Summer. On behalf of all members of the Cricket Club, the General Committee would like to thank Jeff for his many years of service. He is wished a long and happy retirement. Michael Gough Senior commented : “Jeff has been a credit to Hartlepool Cricket Club. When he took over as Club Steward we were struggling. However, through his hard work and efforts, plus the excellent support he received from his wife, Jill, he helped to turn the trading side of Hartlepool Cricket Club around. Thanks to Jeff, we are now trading at a successful level. It’s been great to see Jeff visit the Cricket Club since his retirement. I do miss his dry sense of humour!”.

Alan Jackson, (Chair of Hartlepool Cricket Club), said : “I’d also like to thank Jeff and his wife for their hard work at the Cricket Club. I’d also like to formally welcome Ron Hall as Hartlepool Cricket Club’s new Club Steward. Ron has been involved in the licensing trade for about 25 years, working as a Steward throughout the North East with many sport and social clubs. He’s also worked as a Relief Steward too. I know that Ron has been busy planning our Halloween and Christmas parties for our junior members, plus the ever popular New Year's Eve Party! Tickets for these functions are presently on sale to members, with tickets on general sale as from and including the 21st October, 2022. Ron is wished well in his new role at Park Drive. I’d also like to thank Alison Gough for the extra work that she undertook following the departure of Jeff and prior to Ron’s arrival. Alison is a credit to Hartlepool Cricket Club”.
