The General Committee and the Junior Committee would like to wish all members, players, staff and supporters of cricket at Hartlepool Cricket Club a happy Christmas and best wishes for 2019!

A massive thank you to all those who have given up their time across 2019 for the benefit of the Club, particularly those Coaches and parents who have assisted with our various Junior Teams, those who have helped Dave Measor to produce the fantastic cricket ground that is Park Drive and Committee Officials too!

Hopefully, 2020 will see continued success for the Cricket Club, both on and off the cricket field. Look out for some news about changes to our Senior playing squads, including some new additions. How will our newly formed Masters, (Over 40s), do in their inaugural season in the North Section? Will local Physiotherapists see a surge in demand? Which of our Juniors will have breakthrough seasons in Senior cricket? Will Gary Crawford’s Under 13s go undefeated? Will Mike Gough Senior learn a new Neil Diamond track? In early 2020 details of some exiting representational matches that are to be played at Park Drive will be confirmed. Finally, and by no means least, 2020 will also see an expansion to the cricket opportunities for girls and ladies at Park Drive under the guidance of Helen and Chris Smith.

If you are looking for a New Year’s resolution, then why not make one which is cricket based? The Cricket Club is always on the look out for volunteers, covering a range of activities, including coaching roles. If you’ve recently retired from playing cricket, then why not consider making a return to the cricket field?

You still have until Friday, 20th December, 2019 to make a donation to our Food Bank Donation Point. All collected items will be donated to the Hartlepool Foodbank.
