Hartlepool Cricket Club will have a representative at the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup that is being staged in Australia. The opening match is on Sunday, 16th October, 2022, when Sri Lanka play Namibia. The Final is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 13th November, 2022 at the MCG, not to be confused with the MGCG!

Our very own Michael Gough Junior is officiating at the T20 World Cup. He’s been in Melbourne for the last two weeks preparing for the four week tournament. Micheal is standing in two warm-up matches. His first match is on 17th October, 2022 when England take on Pakistan fresh from their recent series win in Pakistan. Next-up, Michael will be officiating in the fixture between New Zealand and India.

Michael’s first official match in the T20 World Cup is Scotland -v- Zimbabwe on 21s October, 2022 at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart. He then has a series of matches at different venues across Australia before returning home for a few days before heading out to Zimbabwe in November, 2022 to officiate in two Test Matches and three One Day Internationals. Micheal is then back home from about 9th December, 2022.
