At the Junior Committee Meeting held on Wednesday, 25th January, 2023 it was confirmed that outdoor training for our Junior teams will formally commence on Friday, 7th April, 2023, (which is Good Friday), with the last session being on Friday, 8th September, 2023, ie. the first week of the new school term.

Training days and times for our various age groups was confirmed as follows, :-

- Women and Girls : Saturdays : proposed 2pm to 5pm, but to be confirmed;

- Monkeys : Fridays - 5.30pm to 6.30pm : led by Michael Draper;

- Under 9s : Thursdays : 6pm to 7pm and Fridays : 5.15pm to 6.15pm : led by David JB Thompson and Adam Parkes;

- Under 11s : Fridays : 6.30pm to 8pm : led by Danny Hawkins and Peter Rhoden;

- Under 12s : Fridays : 6.30pm to 8pm : led by David JB Thompson and Graeme Coverdale;

- Under 13s : initially on Thursdays : 6pm to 7.30pm : led by Chris Smith;

- Under 14s : Fridays : 5pm to 6.30pm : led by Rob Snowball;

- Under 15s : Mondays : 6pm to 8pm : led by Michael Harmison; and

- Under 17s : Mondays : 6pm to 8pm : led by Matthew Bowman.

Coaches will confirm the exact details of the training sessions via their respective WhatsApp Groups.

David JB Thompson, (Junior Chair), commented : “Preparations are well underway for what will hopefully be a Summer of exciting and enjoyable cricket at Park Drive and beyond! Our clothing order has been placed with Lorimers. Distribution details will be confirmed in due course. It’s vitally important that those who have expressed an interesting in undertaking the Coach Support Course respond to the information that has been sent to them. The intended course is being delivered on Sunday, 26th March, 2023 by Coaches from Durham Cricket Board. Those who go on to undertake Coach Support roles will play an integral role in allowing our cricket programme for our Junior players to develop further.
