The North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier League has created a new representative side, ie. the NYSD Academy. The Academy will play about five games per season against high-level opposition. The NYSD Academy is based on the same age format as County Academies, ie. the Under 19 age group.
The first match to be played by the NYSD Academy is against Yorkshire Academy, with the following confirmed, :-
Date: Monday, 10th June, 2024 : 6pm start;
Venue : Stokesley Cricket Club; and
Format : T20.
This is a very important match. The two teams will contest the Chris Allinson Memorial Trophy. Chris previously played for the Yorkshire Academy many years ago, so it’s fitting that the NYSD’s first fixture will contest this trophy.
