Unfortunately, the Monkeys cricket provision at Hartlepool Cricket Club has reached its maximum capacity. This is the entry level for Junior cricket, ie. reception to year 2.

Chris Smith, (Director of Coaching), said : “Our Monkeys sessions have been excellent! We’ve had to take the extremely difficult decision to close this year’s intake to new players. The popularity of the Monkeys has been such that we have had to cap numbers. We have introduced a waiting list. Whilst this decision to cap numbers will be extremely disappointing to those who were hoping to join, unless and until we increase the number of Coaches, this was the right decision to take. However, there is an alternative provision of cricket that may be of interest to children aged 5 to 8 years : All Stars Cricket. We’ve delivered this ECB national programme for the last few years. A high proportion of those young cricketers who have attended “All Stars” have gone on to attend future Monkey sessions”.

The outdoor sessions for the Monkeys are scheduled to commence on Friday evenings in April, 2023, while the All Stars Cricket provision is scheduled to start on Thursday evenings in late May, or early June, 2023.
