Following the incredible success of last Sunday’s Double Wicket Competition held to honour and remember the extremely talented Hartlepool Cricket Club cricketer and junior coach, Ian Jackson, the Ian Jackson Memorial Trophy is set to be competed for this Friday evening : Friday, 2nd September, 2022. Stumps pitched at Park Drive at 5pm.

George Sayers, (Under 17 coach and friend of Ian), explained : “On Friday evening a Hartlepool Cricket Club Under 16 side will host Sedgefield to contest the Ian Jackson Memorial Trophy. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we haven’t been able to host this important fixture for the past two years. I look forward to a competitive game in honour of Ian. The game commences at 5.00pm at Park Drive. As the 2022 cricket season draws to a close, it would be great to see a large crowd in attendance to remember our dear friend Ian, who is always fondly remembered and never forgotten. Ian’s son, Max, will captain the home side against what will be a very strong Sedgefield team. Let’s hope for a fine evening and a great match to honour and celebrate Ian with his family”.
