The 1st XI play in the Premier Division of the ECB’s North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League. Tom Gavin has been the 1st XI Captain since the 2020 cricket season.

In what was a truncated cricket season due to Covid-19, Tom successfully captained the 1st XI to finish 3rd in the Premier League. In 2020 the 1st XI also won the MacMillan Cup, beating Stokesley in the Final.

In 2021 Paul Braithwaite and Neil Whitworth are the registered professional cricketers. Neil was the NYSD Player of the Season for 2020.
